Traditional TPU patch production requires hard mold tooling — a high-frequency press mold that must be manufactured before a single patch can be made. That mold production alone takes 5–10 days. Our process uses UV printing directly onto TPU film from your digital artwork file. There is no mold step, which is what compresses the timeline from weeks to approximately 3 business days from artwork approval to shipped order.

Both options are available. If you run a UV DTF printer in-house (compatible with Epson I3200-U1 or Ricoh GH2220 heads), you can purchase our film rolls — 24" or 12" wide, 50 meters — and print, cut, and press your own patches at your facility for the fastest possible turnaround. For most fabrics, press at 140–160°C (284–320°F) for 10–15 seconds with firm, even pressure. For stretch fabrics like spandex or compression knits, use the lower end of the temperature range (140–145°C) with a shorter dwell time to protect the fabric hand feel. Holographic film uses a micro-structured metallic surface that diffracts light into rainbow color shifts — the effect changes as the garment moves or the viewing angle changes. Glitter film uses suspended metallic particles within the TPU layer that create a dense, sparkle effect that is more uniform and stays consistent regardless of viewing angle. Holographic reads as futuristic and iridescent; glitter reads as energetic and high-density. Both are available in silver and gold base tones.

Yes. The glow-in-the-dark TPU film is applied as an opaque layer on top of the fabric, not a dye that requires a white substrate. It charges under ambient light (daylight or artificial light) and emits a green glow in darkness. The glowing effect is visible over any fabric color. Application settings are the same as our standard film: 140–160°C, 10–15 seconds. This finish is particularly effective for activewear, safety-conscious workwear, and limited-edition night-event merchandise.

Yes. TPU's natural flexibility is one of its primary advantages over PVC or rigid emblem alternatives. The film conforms to curved and irregular surfaces without warping or lifting at the edges when applied correctly. For structured hats, we recommend a hat press or a hat-platen attachment on your heat press to ensure even contact across the curved front panel. For shoe tongues, pre-flatten the tongue on a flat surface before pressing. Our team can advise on specific application techniques for your garment type.

Our TPU film is rated for 50+ industrial wash cycles at Level 3 wash resistance when applied at correct temperature and pressure. For best longevity: wash garments inside-out, use cold or warm water (not hot), avoid bleach, and tumble dry on low or air dry. High-heat drying is the most common cause of premature adhesive failure on any heat transfer product — this applies to TPU patches as well. Commercial laundering environments (high temperature, alkaline detergents) will shorten the cycle count; contact us for settings optimized for industrial laundry applications.
